Our teachers exemplify integrity and character, and they will offer your student the best possible learning experience. Star Academy teachers are very passionate about their subjects, and bring that excitement to the classroom. Our classes are rigorous and require dedication on the student's part. This makes our program excellent preparation for college and future jobs.Thank you for your interest in our program.
Students must maintain a grade average of 70 or above to remain enrolled in Star Academy classes. They are expected to come to class prepared, with all of their materials, and homework done. Only students interested in serious academics should sign up. Studying and excelling will be emphasized. Again, these classes will be excellent preparation for college, providing students with accountability to teachers, and interaction with peers. This is not a program for special needs students.
The Star Academy teachers will assign and grade work and a grade report will be given each semester. Class Day will run from mid-August to mid-May.
This is a drop off arrangement where parents pay tutors a monthly fee. However, parent volunteers are needed to supervise the student lounge. If a family chooses to opt out of volunteering they may pay a fee that will be used to pay a substitute. No siblings allowed on campus during class day hours, except those children belonging to the volunteer study hall parents. Parents can sign their students up for as many or as few classes as are needed. It’s not required to stay all day.
